Cleaning the condenser and confirming that the condenser fan is actually turning comes before any gauge goes near the sealed system. ## Parts on an appliance of this age An appliance built fifteen to twenty-five years ago may have a part number that has been superseded once or twice, and a superseded part occasionally needs a small change at fitting that the original did not.
