What is covered after the repair
Two windows, both counted from the day the work is finished: 90 days on labour and 365 days on parts.

The two windows
- Labour
- 90 days Our own workmanship on the fault we were called out for. If it comes back inside the window we come back, and there is no second diagnostic fee.
- Parts
- 365 days Every part we supply and fit. A part that fails inside the year is replaced and refitted, and the refit is on us whichever window it lands in.
- Parts policy
- Genuine OEM parts We do not fit aftermarket substitutes into a professional appliance to make a number look better on an estimate.
Whose warranty this is
Ours. This is Ironwood Appliance Service’s own workmanship and parts warranty, given by an independent repair company. It is not a manufacturer warranty. It does not extend, replace, shorten or alter any warranty Viking or its parent company gives on the appliance itself, and nothing we do on your appliance is carried out on their behalf.
If your appliance is still inside its own manufacturer coverage, say so when you call. There are jobs where the sensible answer is to route you back to the manufacturer’s own program rather than take your money, and we would rather tell you that on the phone than on your driveway.
What is not covered
- A different fault on the same appliance. That is a new visit and a new estimate.
- Damage from something outside the appliance — a supply line, a circuit that is not sized to the rating plate, or water damage from a leak we did not cause.
- Maintenance. Filters, condenser grilles, hood baffles, drain lines and deposits that build up again with use are maintenance, and a part that has silted up after a year has not failed, it has been used.
- Work someone else has done to the appliance after our visit, including a part fitted by another shop or by the owner.
- Cosmetic wear, and any condition we listed in writing on the estimate as pre-existing.
How to make a claim
Call and give the date of the original visit and the appliance. There is no form and no portal. If the fault is inside the window we book a return visit and you are not charged the $129 again for it.
Keep the written estimate and the invoice from the original visit. Both name the part fitted and the date, which is all a claim needs.
